Fundraiser Description
Our Poinsettia Drive is 1 of our top 3 fundraisers as a club.  Every member is required to sell (or purchase) a minimum of $140 of plants.

Most members sell these plants to their friends and family, and sell a significantly larger amount than required.

Other members use them as a special holiday gift for their clients!  Local delivery is included!

We have been running this fundraiser for over 20 years.  We are truly known in the community of Rockford for Poinsettias!  In 2016, we sold 3,286 plants that raised $32,000.  Our goal for 2017 is sell 4,000 plants.  We will then use the money that is raised to donate to local charities as seen here.

WE WILL BE SELLING WHITE AND RED PLANTS ONLY THIS YEAR!

Ÿ  Regular Plant - $15.00 | Large Plant - $25.00

We will have an early bird drawing at the noon luncheon scheduled for Thursday November 16th.  To qualify for the drawing you must turn in plant sales totaling at least $140 on or before November 16th.  Sign up for delivery duty and receive an additional raffle ticket for the drawing!   We will also have a post-sale drawing at the Cosmo Christmas Party for additional prizes!

Cosmos Having a Great Time

Our members truly have a lot of fun with this fundraiser!  Not only does it raise money for great causes in our community, but it also gives our membership an opportunity for fellowship and bonding.  This picture is of the inside of the Aldeen golf course maintenance facility when the plants are ready to be picked up by our member volunteers.

Poinsettia plants are picked up by our members at the Aldeen golf course maintenance facility, and then delivered to the local recipients.  Volunteers (as individuals or in pairs) typically take (2) routes and then grab enough plants to complete those routes.  Afterwards, everyone gathers at a local establishment to have some lunch and maybe a few cocktails (optional).
